Ideas are very powerful, however, they need to be harnessed properly, or like wild horses they take human mind anywhere and everywhere.
The concept behind GroupOne started with the founding of The Idea Machine (TIM) in 1998, as a Creative Problem Solving Consulting Service.
Broken Window is a concept in Sociology and Criminology, which tracks and predict the future of a neighborhood. It postulates, that if a single window is left unfixed for a while, other windows will get broken, garbage will start piling in that area. With this criminal elements will start hanging out in that area and honest, law-abiding citizens will start to move out. Ultimately, the place will be totally taken over by criminals – and all this started with a single window, left unfixed.
Our attempt is identify similar, apparently, small incidents in society, which if left unaddressed, will lead to much higher upheavals, with more socially conscious citizens keeping quiet and voting with their feet by moving away, leaving a vacuum for nearly criminal behavior to rule the roost.
We want to shake things up and stop the society from going downhill.Click Here to go to Website

Idea Sourcing is based on the concept of crowd sourcing, i.e. use the power of global citizenry to focus themselves on a
1. Complex problem and
2. Sugget innovative solutions.
It start with a campaign sponsored by an organization in which everybody is challenged to offer practical/implementation ideas – i.e. solutions.
The client enterprise has to provide the following information
1. Campaign title
2. Decompose the campaign into various problem elements – ideas without context to problem element is of not much use.
3. Campaign date range and
4. Prize Amount
The Idea Machine (TIM) was founded in 1988 and forms the cornerstone of our approach towards solving complex problem by first fully understanding a problem and than generating innovative ideas to address each problem element or dimension.
We uses a combination of analytics and ideas.
Typically, people rush to offer solutions to problems without stepping back and fully understanding the complex interplay of multiple factors that have caused the problem to be unique. As a rule, more complex a problem, more dimensions it has and thus requires an expanded consciousness from the perspective of all stakeholders.
Some of the techniques we use are:
2. Computer-generated concepts and
3. Various brainstorming techniques
Law of Unintended Consequences is one of those universal phenomenon that exerts in all spheres of public policy and law makers should never ignore.
We start with the premise that all these interventions are with good intentions. This is crucial since are we not sitting judgement on the initial policy – our sole intention it to help the policy maker and other stakeholders improve the quality of intervention by anticipating the unintended consequences of the policy as currently framed i.e. what can be possible cons that are not currently apparent.
Going beyond identifying Unintended Consequences we also believe in offering our Suggested Solutions so that the identified negatives can be overcome.

Generally, data mining (sometimes called data or knowledge discovery) is the process of analyzing data from different perspectives and summarizing it into useful information – information that can be used to
1. Increase revenue,
2. Cuts costs, or both.
Data mining software is one of a number of analytical tools for analyzing data. It allows users to analyze data from many different dimensions or angles, categorize it, and summarize the relationships identified. Technically, data mining is the process of finding correlations or patterns among dozens of fields in large relational databases. Correctly done, data mining can provide, two powerful outputs:
1. Decision Trees – showing the Cause & Effect relationship i.e. which of the independent variable has the maximum impact on the dependent variable and
2. IF-THEN rule, using the knowledge gained from the database to predict the probability of some event occurring, based on causative factor.
Decision analysis (DA) is the discipline comprising the philosophy, theory, methodology, and professional practice necessary to address important decisions in a formal manner.
Decision analysis includes many procedures, methods, and tools for identifying, clearly representing, and formally assessing important aspects of a decision, for prescribing a recommended course of action by applying the maximum expected utility action axiom to a well-formed representation of the decision, and for translating the formal representation of a decision and its corresponding recommendation into insight for the decision maker and other stakeholders.
Our model of decisions/action consist of:
1. Set of Assumptions
2. Decision Criteria
3A. Intended Consequences and
3B. Unintended Consequences
